It has been a long time. But I’m going to try my hand with this game again. But I doubt I’ll be as active as I had before. But it should still be fun!

Round 45!

Hi guys! I'm back in playing GA! Although I'll never play as actively as I did before; I still enjoy the game enough that I intend to visit it as much as I can.

You might ask what have I been doing this past years. Well, well, well. I'm proud to say that I am currently in college that is why I barely have enough time to play GA. Too many things to do and so little time! Sigh... Anyway as I have said, I started playing GA again and even thought the round is about to end; I have decided to play to learn the game first. A refresher course you might say. Hee hee!

But there is some really tricky and mean guy out there! Gasp! Why did I say that? Well somebody tried to trick me into repairing the wonder even though it is obvious that we are trying to destroy our wonder with something fierce.

GA: Round 37

Round 37 have started just a few days ago and I was fortunate enough to be able to signup during pre-round signup. Unfortunately, I was given a longer newbie mode time than in any previous round I signed up. The result is that I came out of newbie mode quite a bit later than before and most of the land farm has already been grab (When I say land farm here, I did not mean they are cheaters, it just mean that they are easy to grab).

I look and look and Oh! I look so hard but I can’t find any good target. The result is that I was only able to attack one single active planet instead of 4 inactive planets.

Grabbing 71 lands from a heavily defended planet is not as good as grabbing four planets for 50 lands each totaling 200 lands (not to mention that I lose more military units attacking an active planet than attacking an inactive planet).

When my generals returned, it was too late to use the assault strategy because there are planets now that can assault me the moment I assault someone else. There are also no more inactive planets available for my land size. That is why I was force to use the turtle strategy this round.

I also managed to do something that most players agree as something pretty hard to do here in GA and that is not to get attack by anyone and still reach the top ten. Yup! I was not attack this round by assault. Nobody even raided me. A missile was launch against me once but my shield managed to block it. Hurray! ^_^

There were a lot of could-have-been-assaulted this round. Fortunately nobody took it because I was too strong or there are some better targets, either way, I manage to finish a round without being assaulted or raided. The only one that launch a missile against me was just upset that I steamrolled her. But there was one incident that gave me a chill later on. It was when somebody spied at my shield, probably to missile me, but they found my shield up and look at New England’s shield. They found out that his shield is down and launch missiles against him. New England was hit by two full set of missiles. Brrr… It could have been me.

Look at my courage status. I have never been in such a high score before in this category. Wow! I got that score because every land that I got since coming out of newbie status was taken by assault (Land discovery exempted). Yup! I have not explored a single land since coming out of newbie. Hee hee!

Next round; I am definitely going to win! ~_^

Nov 8, 10:52 am I was not bottom feeding really really. Although for the record I have nothing against it. I was not bottom feeding on you. I was waiting for someone to attack for over 12 hours. I needed over 300 space station for my soldiers and power is going down. I was going to bottom feed but then you sent your soldiers out. Sorry, but it was too bad for you. You attack on the wrong time.

Frankly, I could easily assault some of the fat planets over 10k lands. But as I have said, I prefer to catch someone with soldiers out then steamrolling a fat planet.

As I have said, nothing against you, but you just attack at the wrong time.

Nov 8, 10:56 am Checking my list. It seems I have hit everyone in my not bash edge limit so I can't attack them.

I wish I could hit buffy or some of those fat planets. They are yummier than you. But I do my best to hit people only once.

I have attack only two planets twice and that is because they just attack someone when I was looking for someone to attack. ~_~ Too bad for them. Also, it has been a while since my first attack on them.

But I know you bottom feed because the other day you hit a planet my size in 1:7.
The code needs to be fixed because I can easily hit half my size.
But I always try to hit up.
Also I gained 6 land even that you hit me, because I hit a 7k land planet.
So you are a bottom feeder, always will be then.

Besides, I don't understand why you're complaining. You attack someone. I attack you. Once. Within my hit range. So why complain?

With my size and limited targets, those that I hit are lucky I did not hit them multiple times. You complaining about these, does nothing good for your reputation and credibility.

John decided to quit this round. His planet is currently on vacation mode and I do not expect him to activate it again.

It started with a post from NaMeless about the planet Elements of Water. He posted Water’s SOM and commented that nobody else is around that could hit Water’s attacker since everyone else that can retaliate is gone. Nameless said that if anyone can hit him they should.

At first, John was a bit hesitant, but he finally convinced himself that he would be alright. So he took the SL status, probably max his shield, and assaulted Elements of Water.

BIG MISTAKE.

First thing is NaMeless made a mistake. Not everyone’s generals are out. The second thing is John’s planet is so fat, because he was turtling the whole round, that when he attacked, he was left with only 25k AAV. A definite suicide. John’s land was more than twice my size and yet there is only a little difference between our Networth. That just goes to show you how fat his planet is. With 25k AAV for defense, anyone within the top 60 planets can probably hit him. Also, he is arctic, meaning he can’t expect to get one of his generals back for at least 3 hours unlike a volcanic or even a steppes planet. In short, it was a recipe for massacre.

He was hit about 5 times with one as a failed attack by Shocker. Although he did not get hit as much as I was hit when I suicide some round back, John decided he has enough and told everyone that he’s going to quit this round. He said good bye and turned on the vacation mode.

Sigh. That is one less for our system NW. Well, hope to see you again next round John. Better luck next time.

The name of the alliance that we joined/created is called Satyr and we are currently the number one alliance. Satyr is consist of 1:1 1:6 2:10 1:9 1:13. Our alliance is current in no. 1 Satyr 39,460,519. Our system is in no. 3 No Groups, No Stacked System (1:9) 9,293,085

As for my score; I ranked as low as no. 86 and as high as no. 16. Currently I am at the 20th place in strength, 31st place in largest planet, and the 10th most courageous planet. Not bad huh? ~_~

I think the reason I fell from the 16th place is because I built 2 moonbases in just one day. Moonbases cost a lot of money and that made the other planets gain up on me. But now that I have built the 2 out of 4 moonbases; I believe I would be catching up on them soon.

Right now I am waiting for a planet to open up so I could get some land. If I could not find an open planet soon, I might attack the smallest planet within my range. Not as fun as catching someone open up its defenses, but as I have said, I need some land.

New Alliance

Remember that thing that I said I cannot post in this BLOG in my last post? It is about our system considering joining or maybe even creating new alliance. We did just that.

The issue about leaving funforplay has been an issue for some time now. This war between funforplay and stinkyfeet force our system to make a decision sooner than we like. A humor that this war was started by the funforplay’s AL only help in making the decision to leave easier. None of us wanted to be part of a war we don’t know anything about. Myself, the only thing I know is that one day, there is a kill target posted in our alliance forum.

Too bad. I really like to be in an active alliance and funforplay is just that. But as I have said, none of us in 1:9 wanted to be part of a war right now. It is not because we love our score but because the reasons for going to war are wrong, and we just want to take a different path then a warring play.

Did I say “we”? No. It should have been they. I wasn’t able to participate because by the time I came out of newbie mode, they already have it built. There are some issues our system is currently debating but I will not post it here since our system could get in trouble; maybe later.

GA 33 Chaos Mode

That is right guys! Galaxies Ablaze Round 33 has now entered the chaos mode. I know that I have only a few post from this round, but not only because I am so tired that I would rather sleep than update this blog, :P it is also because there was nothing much to report. The daily activity this round has been basically routine. Not that it is boring. Playing tundra and also not being a top planet is a relaxing thing in GA unlike if you’re mountainous and on the top 10; you will be having a hard time handling that planet because of the difficulty and pressure to remain at the top spot.

Anyway, I still eagerly await the next round. So see you! ^_^

Retribution

No matter what rank I am. No matter how late I started. No matter what round I played. I always played to win. If I am in the 499th position, in a game with 500 players and with 1 hour left to play, I would still play like I am in second place and needs only to work a little harder to be number one. But there are exceptions and one of those exceptions is to help out a friend.

I wasn’t planning on updating this BLOG. I am often so tired from school that I immediately fall asleep when I get home, only to wake up in the middle of the night to play GA and FK. But something happened that I just have to blog.

A system planet of mine, The Spartan Floppie, attack a kill target called myAkeyisbroken. myAkeyisbroken is an alliance target. When I first learned about the kill target, he was too big for me to do anything. All I could do was just launch 1 measly revenger missile.

When I read that name again was when he assaulted Spartan. I was online an hour after the attack. Spartan asked for help in the alliance forum because a kill target assaulted him. I took a SOM of myAkeyisbroken and posted it in both the system and alliance forum and then I log-out. I think myAkeyisbroken attack Spartan because Spartan attacked somebody in his alliance. Then again, Spartan may have been just open.

I did not hit the myAkeyisbroken because he smaller than my minimum range target (means if I had attack, I would only get a small portion of his land.) Reasoning it was just one attack. The others in the alliance must have been like me and did nothing.

Since nobody helped him, Spartan acted on his own.

I am so angry with myself that I will do anything to help Spartan, even if I get missile or ktd. I want retribution for what happened to Spartan.

Moving Up The Ranks

Since the beginning of this round I found it difficult to get past the 60th place mark. I manage to get up to 59 earlier but that was only for a brief period of time. One of the reasons I think is that I don’t spend enough time playing GA. One of the reasons I like to play GA is the interaction with different people. But the system that I am in is not an active system which makes the game less fun.

Still, Galaxies Ablaze is a great and fun game and can be played even without system interaction (Thought, as I have said, not as fun). I shape up my planet and is now ready for my slow but sure climb to the top. ^_^ Hee hee! Here is my latest news.

After a long time of waiting, I finally was able to make a successful attack again. It has been a long time waiting and after that long wait I made two failed attacks. Oh Phooey!

I know why my first failed attack failed. I failed because I forgot to change the status of my attack from assault to raids. See the one that I attack is too big for me, but he quit so raiding him is ok. So I calculated how much to send to make my raid successful. But I forgot to change the attack status in my attack page. I was supposed to raid but my attack was an assault. Hence, I failed. :(

I don’t know why my second attack failed. I spied on his Status of Military (SOM). I spied on his research and his shield. But I still failed. I also check my research and military. I should have succeeded. It was so confusing.

But you know what they said, “Third time is the charm” and my attack was successful!

Nothing Happening Is A Good Happening.

The expected retaliation never happened. That is good. Thought I would be willing to be killed for what I believe (game wise only guys! ^_^). I still prefer to finish the game; maybe even winning it. Hee hee!

As for any new news, there is none. I fell down the ranks again because I have upgraded my buildings.

But I did discover something important. There is a new feature in the game’s research. It is about researching for something will prevent you from researching something else. An example of this is the space station. It is the prerequisite to stardock research, but it prevents the research of sky scraper construction.

Phooey! I wish I knew about this so I would have planned better. No wonder I can’t research some things. *sigh* Well at least I learned something new for next round. ~_~

Also, after long and hard searching, we are finally in an alliance. We are now proud members of the Eradicator Alliance. Yay! Thanks to the planet of land of god for the invitation!

We have a big planet teleported to our system. Ninja Mic with a NW of over 3 million, teleported into our system. I was so happy when I read this news. Finally, somebody big to scare of planets that might attack me. But this joy is short lived because Ninja Mic was made a kill target by the RealNoFear Alliance. He was forced to reset after a short while and after he lost millions of NW. x(

Protected Planets?

Galaxies Ablaze has several unwritten rules. One of these rules is the “protected planets”. Systems leaders would announce in their system news that this or that planet in this system is protected. Anybody attacking them will be retaliated.

I usually follow these rules, not because I am obligated, but to give these players some chance to learn and enjoy the game. But this is not so when I’m a small planet and all that I can attack are small planets. Why should I not attack them when others attack me? Why should I not attack this protected planet when she attacked somebody else?

I have been looking for a good target for some time now but no luck. Nobody within my range, that I can safely hit, have attack anybody else recently. There were several planets that attack other planets within my range, but I have already attack these planets in the past, so I won’t assault them again. Not anytime soon.

Then suddenly, I spied on this small planet that just came within my range. It had just attack somebody and is now ripe for the picking.

The worse part is, these are the planets whom we were allied once. That is right! This planet belonged to the Tundra alliance. The alliance that betrayed 1:7. The alliance that kick us out without even a warning or even the courtesy of a message saying why we were being left to fend for ourselves (my theory is so they can invite stronger systems to raise the alliance Networth. Just look at at 2:5).

Anyway, if they tried anything on me, I’ll waste myself on them. :( I already have a plan on how I will go down. It’s kind of cowardly of them to raid me when I assaulted one of them. Why can’t they be a woman enough to assault me too? We may never know. :P

Left The Alliance?

I don’t know what Tundra Power was thinking when he left the Tundra alliance, but I think it is wrong for him to leave it without telling the rest us. He was inactive for a few days now and then suddenly he leaves the alliance? He carried all of us with him too.

Also, with majority of the votes on him, the sliding system leader status will not work.

There was this time when one of our system planet needed that status but can’t take it because, even with my votes added in, majority of the votes is still with Tundra Power. I can’t even take the system leader status from him and announce in our system announcement that our system planet is protected. The result is quick and bloody and forces our system friend to restart his planet.

After my assault on the Hand Of Death in 1:10 and got assaulted back by Best Year Ever of 2:5; I decided not to attack for a while and just build up and enjoy the recovery status that I received because of that assault.

When the recovery status ends, I started looking for targets again and found one. Vigror of 1:1 has just assaulted someone and still has 3 of his four generals out. His defense research was also affected by his recent land grab and it was down to 22% effective.

Happy that I found him; I assaulted him immediately, hoping that I would be the first one to grab him. I was successful.

I have waited and waited and there are no bites. I wanted to find an open planet and grab its land, while most of its forces are out, but I could not find any planet like that. Everyone must be using the turtle strategy. Well, everyone smaller than my planet that is.

I could not wait anymore as I need some land for power and barracks and decided to steamroll a small planet. I don’t want to do it, but I have to. :(

I knew it! I knew it! This round is jinx! First I wasn’t able to build my planet because I though I was going to delete it anyway, than my system mates won’t donate anything for the wonder, than I was confuse with this group thingy, and now this!

Waaaah! I want to quit! Quit! Quit I say!

But I wanted to play Galaxies Ablaze for some time now. If I quit now, I will have to wait for two months before I could play again. Can I play knowing I have no chance of winning this round?

Phooey! What am I talking about!? I can still win this round! I mean some of those people on top of my planets are multi account that will be found by the Admin and will be deleted. Some of those accounts will quit the round, while the rest will get killed in a war. Leaving me the strongest and largest planet around! Cool! ~_~ I can’t wait to win this round. Hee hee!

On the wonder part, some of my system mates have already left the system because we have no wonder, and the inactive were now killed. I’m probably the only original player, besides Mr. Priest who is still in newbie mode that got placed in this system and not teleported. But this is a good thing since those that are not gone were replace by people that are more active.

When I log in some time ago, I look at the wonder and saw that there is only one more wonder left. I was please to realize that some people donated to the wonder fund but there is still a big gap to get the last wonder and the system leader is not online. This got my a little tense. The last wonder can go anytime. So I decided to grab the system leader status and donate everything, knowing that it will hurt me (I gave the most money, power, and pop to the wonder fund), and built the last wonder! Hurray! ^_^

Not A Promising Start

I was supposed to team up with Mr. Tempest this round. I signed up for the group, and did everything I should do to register for the group. I think I did everything correctly. That is why I was so surprise when I Mr. Tempest’s planet name is not in the system I was in.

Although there is a planet with same name as the kingdom name Mr. Tempest is using in Fantasian Kingdom; that is not the name Mr. Tempest gave me (Mr. Tempest messaged me in Fantasian Kingdom and said his planet name is TES.) Also, Mr. Felixdemort PM me and said that Mr. Tempest is in system 1:12.

Because of this confusion, I ask for help in the public forum. There were many suggestion like Mr. Tempest fooled me and intentionally group me with a bunch of inactive planets, or that I made a mistake registering, etc. There were also suggestion on how to solved this like I should ask the Game Master to teleport me to my suppose group.

I decided to start the deletion mode of my account with the intention of signing up again and maybe do it right this time.

After some time, thinking that my planet was deleted by this time, I signed up. But my account is still active, so I decided to cancel the deletion mode and login.

I notice that somebody message me so I read it. It was from Mr. Tempest, he apologize that he could not play for now since he has some internet problems in his home and could not play. So his planet is in vacation mode and might not play anytime soon. The message came from a planet in the same system I’m in. ARGGGG! I’m going insane! :(

By this time, the game has already started and I have not yet set up my planet because I thought I would be deleting it. Everyone is bigger then me by now. *Sniff*

To add to the annoyance, only two people donated for the wonder fund to date. Only two! The other planet and me could not possibly donate enough to get us a wonder. While I’m writing this, nobody else has donated for the wonder, and wonders are being taken one by one fast! After all those discussion on what wonder to get, all those people with their suggestion; everybody just wants to talk and not donate. :(

Phooey! What a bad start. Could this be an omen about the rest of the round? We’ll see…

Somato and New KT

Nope. Somato is not the KT. As a matter of fact, Somato is now in our alliance. Hee hee! Ironic isn’t it. Anyway, let bygones be bygones so hello and welcome Mr. Somato! ^_^

Our new KT or kill target is DarkChild (2:10). He was made a kill target for this:

We massacred planet DarkChild (2:10) and destroyed 143 land, 1,063 money, 6,550 power and 323 population.
Most resources were destroyed in the fierce fighting, but our forces did recover 12 land, 213 money, 1,310 power, and 65 population.
Our military casualties included 2,017 Starfighters,
but our surviving troops will return in 13 hours.

Another candidate for KT is Death Valley (2:14) for double hitting a planet.

This is all I'm going to do for now. If you guys have a personal grudge with SOMATO, I won't hold it against you if you attack him.

I've sent a message to 2:7's SL, who's my friend's brother, so I should be able to work something out with him. Right now he says he doesn't know why Somato's acting noobish, so it could be anything at this point.

I'll let you know if there are more information coming from Sith.

I was the first to post and ask the alliance to retaliate an unfair missile attack against a system planet of mine. Since I’m inactive most of the time, I though to leave the whole matter to the alliance and they can take care of it.

Imagine my surprise to find out a few days later that, except for Holyevil taking the SOM and SOR of Somato in 2:7, nobody did anything else. It was so embarrassing. But embarrass as I was, nobody else was talking about it and Fabrication doesn’t seem to mind so I let the matter go.

It is quite obvious that it is not alright with Fabrication and the whole alliance did him wrong by not helping him. I felt sorry for him. He must felt he is alone and betrayed.

The last time I look, I was at the number 17 strongest planet. I really wanted to make it to top 10 before the round ends. I have never talk to Fabrication, nor do I know anything about him. But I do know that Fabrication is a system planet. That he needs help and support. That is why I have decided to forget the scores, and help Fabrication fight this Somato, and accept any missile that comes in my way. I will help him, even if I became a kill target.

The Gamemaster

I’m not as upset with this second notice, as I was when I received the first messaged. I know that most people do not believe it’s my fault. The Gamemaster only message me to change it because I was the SL at that time and was only notified to change it.

I had changed the system’s logo, 2-3 hours ago before I received this message, as soon as I discovered that horrible picture.

I was reading one of the topics on the system’s forum, and had just updated my planet’s building and military units, when I realized I had the power to delete system’s topic thread. This could only mean one thing. I became our system’s leader. I was a bit surprise since I read somewhere that Sanskrit Jagannatha will hold the status leader permanently, to stop the abuse of sliding SL strategy and post indecent pictures.

I immediately click the system politics link to check who voted for me. I thought I knew what to expect when I click that link, given that I have become a system leader before, what I did not expect is that hideous picture showing at the bottom of the page. I had turned off the view system logo some time ago, that is why I can’t see those pictures on top of each system, but it does not prevent the hideous picture of our system from showing in the system politics page of the current system leader. That’s me.

I tried hysterically to change the logo, but in my panic, I forgot that certain rules must be followed; that is why I kept failing in my attempt to remove that yucky picture.

That is when my mother entered the room and asked me to send an email to one of her cooking group.

Oh gosh! I was horror-struck at the thought of my mother seeing it! Fortunately, I had enough presence of mind to launch a new internet explorer window to cover that atrocious picture. I told my mommy that she can leave the letter and the email address and I will write and send it later.

When she left, I check again how to change the system logo, and found out that only filename ending in .jpg were allowed (the one that I was trying to substitute does not end in .jpg). It also does not accept a link ending in capital letters like .JPG.

With this knowledge, I successfully change the system logo, and replace the bad one with a temporary picture of my Jenova avatar. What a relief!

Much later, I passed the SL status to Trinity. I am a bit inactive this round, therefore, I wont be a good system leader. From the look of things, Trinity seems to be doing a good job.

A Case of Mistaken Identity

I immediately replied back that I was not responsible for the bad image in our system’s avatar. I sent another one later to make sure I explained myself clearly.

Worried that other people will think ill of me, I also posted a post in the public forum, announcing my innocence about the avatar.

Mr. Uluru soon after messages me and replied on the public forum that he was responsible about the system’s avatar. He also apologizes for the confusion and has not meant for me to get involve. In fact, he was confused as me as to why I received that warning. Strange.

It seems Mr. Uluru was trying to make a statement. About the not for general-patronage that has been happening in both the Galaxies Ablaze Forum and Game.

I don’t know if it was the right way to protest or not. But those system avatar pictures really shock me. I have learned to ignore those dirty messages on the public forum (I don’t mind those insurance or buy and sell adds. But some of the other advertisements are disgusting). But those system logos caught me by surprise.

I also, always, deactivate the view system logo every time I login for the first time, while still in Newbie Mode. But I turned it on when I learned that Trinity has made a new system logo for us, to view it. It was a nice logo. Trinity wrote our system’s logo on top of a James Bond picture. Unfortunately, I forgot to turn it off again after viewing Trinity’s work.

The next time I login I saw a picture of two gay men hugging/caressing each other. I immediately ask my system planets to change it. Indeed it was change and replace by two haft naked lesbian hugging/caressing each other. This one was remove by the gamemaster and this was when I received the warning message. Tsk. Mr. Uluru wasn’t finish of course and put another picture of a woman’s seat wearing a very skimpy swimsuit. I frantically turned off the view system’s logo option before somebody in our house sees me with it. I should have turned off the view system’s logo the moment I saw those two men. :(

Later, in response to Mr. Ulurus apology, I message him it was alright now and that I have clamed down and I have no animosity against him. It was admirable of him to accept responsibility and apologize for it.

Even thought I have not receive a message from the gamemaster clearing me from the incident, I feel fine and alright because Mr. Uluru cleared me up in the public forum and everyone knows I was not responsible for it. And that’s what matter most of all to me.

Attack of the Headless Chickens

Last Saturday, Philippine time, my mother brought me along to attend a family cooking group. This cooking group is when female family members gather and share recipes, and make foods, and share gossips, and tips. She drags me along, ignoring my pleas, saying something about it is time to break me to it, whatever that means.

So for a couple of hours I sat on a sofa, or sometimes a dinning chair, watching them baked “Food for the Gods” and “Fruit Cakes”. Although it was not as boring as I first though, it was not something I would prefer to do on a daily basis. But being a good girl, I smiled and made conversation, and pretend I was interested in what they were doing (Don’t tell my mom!). The only thing I was genuinely interested, beside from some scandalous gossip, was how to make a ladies drink. I was even allowed to drink a glass of my own brew. Hee hee!

My aunt was of course impressed with me. But being nice backfired on my face. The next day, after Sunday mass, I was back with my mom in my aunt’s kitchen baking and cooking again. This time, I was not alone as my aunties brought their own daughters, my cousins, along with them. The worst part is my cousins blame me for them being there. It seems I made a good impression on my aunts that they decided to bring their daughters along. It was horrible! I was so embarrass that I felt like my cheek would burn off my face!

Fortunately, after a few smiles, jokes, some quick conversation, and some promise to go out with them for some family bonding; my cousins seems to have forgiven me or at least forgotten the whole event for the time being. Whoosh! I have never wish to leave a place like the way I want to leave that house before! Now, the only problem is how I could get out of some of those engagements. Some of my cousins finds scandalous things as fun, while others are not so picky on where they eat (One of my cousin sometime eat fishball from a sidewalk stand. Those things can be dirty, with all the dirt from the street and car fumes falling down on those fishballs!)

Anyway, even after all of this, that was not the most memorable thing I remember that Sunday morning. The most memorable thing is the attack of the headless chickens!

One of the food we were about to cook, the “Tinola”, needs some fresh chickens. Unfortunately for me and my cousins, the chickens were still alive. The elders told us to prepare the chickens so we can cook them. They group us in three.

None of us have ever killed a chicken before, but after a while and a flurry of discussion, we all agreed in a way to “prepare” the chickens. One person will hold a head of a chicken, while another will hold it’s body, and the last member will use a butcher’s knife and swing it on a chicken’s head to severe the head from the body.

I was one of those in-charges in swinging the butcher’s knife. We all went to our designated position and counted to three. At three, we all swung our knives together and severed the head of our chickens.

It was PANDEMONIUM! After the head was severed, everyone holding a chicken part immediately let go, and that was a big mistake. The chickens’ severed head lies on the table still moving, and the chickens’ headless bodies were jumping all over the room, spraying blood everywhere. Everyone run screaming and crying as the chickens jump at everyone and tainting everyone red. One of my cousins stood besides the table, wide-eyed, and obviously in shock. I and Naomi manage to pull her out of the room. Another one, Malou, tried to hide under the table but she did not stay there for long as a headless chicken seemingly chase her out. Before I left the room, along with Naomi and our tow, I saw a headless chicken jump out of the room, over a window, and into the street.

The elders came running. Worry and fear were painted on their faces. It did not take long and the subdivision security guards came running with their handguns drawn. Some were carrying shotguns.

It took a while for us to explain what happened and put order into the chaos that just happened. Fortunately, everyone took it all in good humor and everyone, but us cousins, laugh till they burst.

We gave our “Tinola” and a huge pot of rice, to the subdivision security guards for their steadfast arrival and doing their duty.

Wonder and Turtle

I have been using the turtle strategy these past few days. The reason for this is because my planet has become too fat. One day I assaulted a planet way over the 50% planet size limit (Japonija) and the next time I login, I am in a situation where if I decided to send 1 AAV out, I would be assaulted.

My planet became fat when I started to build large amount of researchers, to research both lunar mines and fusion power plant, all within a day (I was nearly finish with the lunar mines by this time but I finish the fussion plant within 12 hours.) With me training researchers, upgrading buildings, and all the while exploring for land and grabbing helpless asteroid that was just innocently passing by; it was obvious why my planet is so out of shape.

I have decided to stop exploring now and concentrate in building up its offense and defense strength. I do not need anymore land right now as I have enough room for my troops as I upgrade my barracks with stardocks.

Since I am using the turtle strategy, there is not much news about my planet to post. But I do have some news about my system.

Our wonder, the SDA, was taken out without me knowing until 8-12 hours later. Tsk! I even donated for the maintenance, not knowing that it was already gone! ;p (I have been busy spending time with my mother. See attack of the headless chickens.) I wanted to participate in getting it back, but my system took it down and built it before I even know about it. All I can say is blame it on my mother. Hee hee! Oh! Hopes she does not read this. Shssss!

I hope by the time I finish destroying my barracks and made their lands into stardocks, I would be in shape to assault again. Until then or if something comes up, see you later.

Update: 1:2 ask us to help them get their wonder back. Again I fervently wish to participate, only to wake up again and find it is already done. Phooey! I need to be more active! I’m already embarrass because I failed to help get the wonder, and cannot even protect my system friends.

Public Forum

I prefer visiting the RI forum then the Public forum in Galaxies Ablaze. It is much more clean and more for general patronage. Galaxies Ablaze forum are filled, not only with useless and dirty advertisement, but also with some of the rudest remark.

I have learned to recognize this advertisement by looking at the number of replies and authors. If I do not recognize the creator of the thread and there are no replies from other people, I do not bother opening up and reading the thread. Unfortunately, there are times you do not have to open the thread to see dirty messages, as the title of the thread itself is offending.

Until this kind of things stop, I will be visiting the RI forum more then the GA Forum. RI player base might not be as big as GA, but they are more urbane and their post more decent and funny then the latter. This is one reason I change my avatar in the Onlineworld forum and not the RI forum.

Sorry Ms. Chick. But it’s the truth. Hope you don’t get mad.

Although the system I landed in was active enough, I could not say the same thing for our alliance. It seems like only planets from 2:9 were the only ones posting in the alliance forum. It has been like this for days now which make me wonder if we should move to a different alliance. One that is more active. Well, that is up to the system leader, I guess.

A new province teleported in our system named Bere aus Tirol. He said he teleported because his former system refuses to join an alliance. Hello Mr. Fragarande! I agree that playing the game is just one aspect of it’s fun, and that meeting people and having fun conversation with them is another. Hope you enjoy in 2:9! Yay!

Well, well, well. That is what my planet is doing. Although skill has indeed played a part in my planet doing well; luck has also played its part. Every time I need some land, poof, a planet within my range would attack someone, making them vulnerable enough for me to take advantage.

I had a hard time finding vulnerable planets this round, it is as if everyone intends to turtle the whole round. Tsk! Tsk! But as I have said, I always seems to find one who would open its defenses enough for me to attack it; just as I was considering to explore some land for my troops barracks.

Last night was even more special. A loitering asteroid passes on our system and I was the first to make a grab for it. Alright! I manage to grab it 3x for the first grab and the final general some hours later.

Because of those asteroid grab, I was so sure that I wouldn’t be able to assault anyone before my fourth general returns, or at least I will not be able to assault any big planets. But surprise! Surprise! Another planet opened up and I did not hesitate to attack it, even with only three generals! The planet was in the system along with the current strongest planet, which is probably why that planet was bold enough to send too many AAV out without any regards for defense. Yum! Yum! My type of planet. Hee hee!

On the alliance forum, somebody was made a Kill Target, but I doubt I would participate since that person was made a kill target for breaking a NAP (Non-Aggression Pact). The way I read it, that person only broke the NAP once. Hardly a good reason for making it a kill target. Even more so, somebody said that the planet that broke the NAP did not know about the NAP because their AL (Alliance Leader) or SL (System Leader) deleted the thread about the NAP, hence, that person could not have known about it. Hmmmmm.

On another note, I just change my avatar in Online Worlds forum and added a new picture in the Rich Innovation Forum. :)

Teleport

When I first came out of newbie I did not donate anything for the wonder because it was agreed that Beast will donate everything after he comes out of newbie and get the positron shield. Unfortunately, she could not donate anything because the game won’t let her for reason of lack of military units.

When I realize this, I donated what is left of my resources, about haft a million money and 2000 population (I could not donate any power because my planet was losing it’s power, hence I could not spare any donation with this type of resource). One after one, the wonders was taken until there was none left. :(

Still, I decided to remain in the system and stay there for the rest of the round. But Battlecruiser, who encourages everyone to donate and get a wonder, but only donated a small amount of power, expresses his wish to leave the system (this after telling everyone to build a revenger missile to bring down a wonder an hour ago). He said the reason he wants to leave the system was because it was inactive, I had a feeling he wants to leave because we have no wonder.

That is when I decided to leave the system myself. I teleported out of there and landed in 2:9.

System 2:9 is a system with a nice wonder, satellite defense, :) and they welcomed me in their system. I donated some resources for its maintenance. I’m glad I landed in a good system and I have a feeling it will be a cool round.

As for the planet battlecruiser, it teleported in 1:3, a system without any wonder, filled from top to bottom with inactive planets. Too bad.

Galaxies Ablaze Round 31

Round 31 has finally began and after a few misstep in configuring my planet; I seems to be doing ok. =D

It has been a while since I played Galaxies Ablaze. I fear I might have lost the “Touch” on how the game is played. Well, I guess I find it out later.

The game now has a new good feature i.e. nothing ground breaking but definitely a good help for players, is that espionage result like SOM are now recorded and can be viewed in the news thread. Just like Fantasian Kingdoms. I remember the irritation of successfully spying on someone on to have the page fail to load. Then you find out you have no more spy mission. Phooey! But with this new feature, that little bump is gone. Alright!

My province name is Tough Luck (1:1) and I landed in a semi active group. Hope they are not active because they are still in newbie mode. Hope they will be more active later on.

We have all agreed on what wonder we should take but there is the question of could we get it on time. Again we will find about it later. Hee hee!

Meaning I will not be able to finish next round anyway. As a matter of fact, this would be my last update for this round. So here is planet status before Chaos mode.

One of my system planet, Volvoland, was barrage with a series of missiles and raid. The planet once bigger then I by 1.8 million NETWORTH, was reduce to haft my size. In retaliation several enemy planet was taken down. Means Without Ends (1:11) has been a Kill Target (KT) for some time now, but because of volvoland incident, renewed vigor was given in demolishing this planet (he is now less then 35% of my land size). Boo, who was a lot bigger then me was brought down some notch (although this was mostly done by our allied Syndidcate). Aesahaettr (1:13) was nuke a few times.

But the one that really got hurt and receive the show of force and cooperation of the system was Middangeard (2:4).

Yeah! I wish I could do more for the alliance, but this is all I can give. Even if Means without end did not have immunity from aggressive operation, I could not launch more then a few ops since I needed them to rob some money. Robbing is an important part for me to grow. Besides, I don’t know how many will get through because I lost a lot of my operatives on robbing missions.

I was right. This “you hit me so I launch missile” is becoming a trend here in Galaxies Ablaze. Lowering the cost and time it takes to build a missile also help in encouraging this kind of activity (along with the constant war that currently sweeping the Galaxies Ablaze Universe). This proves more real for me recently as I was a target of such retaliation.

I have thought of asking the alliance to make him a target but since the alliance has too many targets already, I have decided to delay such request. Also, after his raid, it was quite obvious that somebody hit him because his land went down again. Hee hee! When I took his SOM before my attack, he had 3 generals out. So in order for him to raid me he must have sent that lone general with most of his STARFIGHTERS and AAV, making him vulnerable to attacks. Serves him right! Humph!

Spy Ware and the Game Goes On

Due to Spy ware invading my computer; I was not able to update this BLOG for some time. I had to wait for my brother Marc, to return and remove it. Which he did but with the consequence of having my hard disk formatted.

I first notice an anomaly in my computer when its operation slowed down considerably. It would take 15 to 30 minutes to show a simple web page, sometimes it never show or complete downloading a site. I also noticed that the number of bytes sent is nearly proportional to the number of bytes received. Ex. 4,000,000 bytes received and 3,800,000 bytes sent.

I suspect it was the one that disabled the Norton Internet Security and my firewall a couple of days earlier. We tried to enable it by following the admin>services>ICF instruction but the ICF part can’t be found. The next morning the Norton antivirus, Norton spams, and Norton internet securities were all uninstalled. We tried reinstalling them but to no avail. We also reinstalled windows but the firewall was still not there.

When Marc came, he formatted the entire hard disk and reinstalled the entire necessary program. Now its working fine again and the Galaxies Ablaze WebPages are displayed nearly instantaneously. ~~

Due to the recent lost of documents; I can only post the recent happening on my planet. So I’ll start with the targeting of Eris of 2:8. As you might have guess, I did my part in the attempt to bring down Eris.

As I understand this message, it means nobody should steamroll anyone, which is crazy. Her suggestion would lead people to stop building military units, especially offense units, and just turtle and explore. Why bother building military units, as long as you don’t send any military out, you can explore and be safe from attack? If somebody attacked you it would be a steamroll and you can ask for retaliation.

Anyway, I decided to let it go since it’s just a small damage. BIG MISTAKE! I received some bad news.

Phooey! I learned that this planet belonged to Mr. Exotic (I wonder if he is still upset with me after I made him a kill target in Fantasian Kingdom?) By this time I committed myself to make it my goal to see them badly damage. ~~

I ask the alliance for help and Ms. Heklim was targeted first. The alliance was good. She was bigger then me before the alliance started to attack her but now we manage to bring her down to less then a third of my size. Unfortunately, we have to stop targeting her as we have to move on to a new target, one I also vigorously participated.

Of course acts of aggression work both ways (I’m not going to post the news about the exchange of damage because it would be way too long). They burned and destroyed my residential house, and mines, and power plant. The good thing is my planet is a jungle type planet and all they did was slowed my growth and my rank fell from 19 to 23.

My system mates work hard to fight our enemies and suffered from this war too as missiles were launch against them. Our system leader (SL), Shadow Pelly, valiantly participated and retaliated attacks made against us. Volvoland also gave and received a lot of damage. This system received much honor this last two days.

As it stand, all I can say is we’re winning! Hee hee! Besides, in a war like this, I get so excited to participate that I don’t care about my networth and I just want to give my enemies as much damage as I can! ^)^

This is the first time I’ve been in an alliance were there are so many kill target. We must have over haft a dozen kill target already. I try to participate as much as I can, but I did not join Galaxies Ablaze just to bring down targets for no reason. Believe it or not, its no fun participating in this kind of alliance activity. I try to participate as much as I can but I’m going to need more incentive to be more active.

Warmongoer? Networth Lover?

There is an ongoing debate now in Galaxies Ablaze. It is about whether it is alright to war and target players for no reason in the name of fun? Is it alright to be a NETWORTH lover?

In The thread “Wow, Bunch Of Hypocrites” in the public forum, Ms. TwylahSkye made a convincing argument and I agree and support her on this. She argued that syndicate are driving people away by targeting them for no reason therefore effectively killing Galaxies Ablaze. She pointed out that GAX (a game akin to Galaxies Ablaze) was closed because it has few players because its game style of warring for fun does not appeal to everyone. If SWB and his friends continued to do to Galaxies Ablaze what they do in GAX, Galaxies Ablaze would follow GAX to the grave.

She made some good suggestion on for people who likes to war without getting people that doesn’t like to go to war involve. But it still needs some polishing.

Then again, I like Galaxies Ablaze with no rule on how you wish to govern your planet. If syndicate became a bully and have acted dishonorably in everyone’s eyes, then they should do something about it instead of complaining about it. But what can you do if they are just too strong? It reminds me of the dark age in Fantasian kingdoms where bullies rule with an iron fist (regardless of our appeal to change their style), before me, homer, carnage, and sarge ended their reign of terror last round (round 6).

Here in Galaxies Ablaze where there is a larger number of player base, it would take more then four players to stand up to the one of the most active and strongest alliance in the game. I guess it is appropriate to ask other first before forming your own group and kill them all. Hee hee!

Whatever’s in store for Galaxies Ablaze, will it dwindle and die? Or recover and grow, only time can tell, but for now I’m playing and ENJOYING the game. I participate and support my system and alliance activity whether in war or peace time.

When we are still in punks alliance, I voted to make a huge planet in 1:4 a damage target, and even offered to attack and launch missiles first. But the leadership decided to wait. Too late! Most of the powerhouse in 1:4 was killed by the people in syndicate.

Later, in Phyrxia, a kill target was posted. Just as I was to launch my missile and sabotage the target, Volvoland recommended to hold off the attack and gather on a appointed time and attack simultaneously. Too bad I listened, :( because by the time I login again, the target is not a target anymore. Phooey!

The next time I logged in, a new target was posted and I immediately sabotage and launch my missile on the target without hesitation.

I’m building another revenger missile to replace the one I used before and I’m also currently researching missiles, so I can make more missile type then just revenger. I have also a good op ratio, although I have little ops mission because I have use most of it robbing banks. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough offense unit to make some damage because I’m building mostly defense units

Can’t Attack

I can’t attack again. Everyone within my range is too strong. Even the ones I caught sending their military out were never open enough for me to assault. That leaves suicides, and I have yet to see one in my range do that.

The only good thing to report is that I rose up the ranks again.

Some people don’t care about their NW. I always do, no matter what rank I am. It is something to keep me on my toe. It’s no fun just to launch missile, or raid other planets in a war. Any simple minded simpleton can do that.

Neither is it fun to care too much for you net worth. You will miss out most of the fun in the game.

That is why I always try to balance the two. It makes the game more exciting. Instead of being uncaring on her networth, who would just launch a missile and boringly wait for a counter (this is also true for raids), I would double think on launching a missile in fear of being retaliated and sweat while I wait for retaliation. It’s more fun to engage in a war if you have something valuable that you could lose.

But as I have said, neither is it good to be a NW fanatic. Because if you are, then you should just take up math and grab a pencil and paper and start calculating.

So, it has always been my policy to be the strongest and largest planet in Galaxies Ablaze, without neglecting my duty to my system and alliance and causing some ruckus now and again.

Round 28

It’s been some time since Galaxies Ablaze: Round 28 has started, but it has been only now that I have been able to update this BLOG. I have no better excuse, as to why I’m late in updating this BLOG, than to blame a teenager’s daily life.

I was too busy with common everyday life, like single handedly eliminating a local terrorist group. Yesterday, I had to beat this 100 foot radioactive rat from destroying the city, while on my way to school. But we will not get into that. I don’t want to bore all of you with my boring day to day life. Besides, this BLOG is about my experience on Galaxies Ablaze so let’s get on to that.

Just like I have intended, I’m playing Glaxies Alaze again and is currently using a jungle type planet with a thrifty personality.

I thought was doing great a few days after I got out of newbie, but yoshi 1:4 suicide on me and I almost deleted my planet. Fortunately, I grab hold of my temper and change some things in my strategy, and it seems to be working since nobody has hit me again although there have been multiple successful espionage on my planet.

The change is that I increase the defense percent in my offense/defense ratio. This gives me better defense then before (I was using the infantrymen/riflemen units). I have also started making AAV units from the money surplus (I had too much money from robbing and had run out of soldiers to train).

But now that I have research dragoons and lasermen, I have re-establish my original offense defense ratio. Not long after that, I started assaulting planets, unlike before I was only turtling.

Here are the two planets that I have successfully assaulted:

I made a mistake in my strategy and ended up getting hit 3x in one hour, and since I’m using specialize unit (units that have either attack pts or defense pts but not both), it’s bound to happen again soon. Round 27

I’m now using a jungle type planet for this round of Galaxies Ablaze. I have studied this planet type for some rounds now, and even tested it out once when I signed up near the end of round 25 (The tactic I will be using will be slightly different from the one I used in round 25 as I developed, what I think, is a better tactic for this planet type).

This round I seem to have been place in a good system. It looks like there are lots of active planets to share and have fun the whole round through. Watching my new sytem friends joke with each other in the system forum made me wonder where my former system friends right now. Hello! If you ladies are reading this please message me. My planet name is Fortress of Justice. Let’s have lots of fun again this round. ~~

Stacked War

The war earlier mentioned has grown very confusing. The Supreme alliance has split and its former members are now on a path of destroying each other. Who is the stacked alliance again? I don’t know anymore. People say that the Goliath alliance is the stacked alliance since it covers most of the top 10 scores (Probably because of 2:2. Frankly, any alliance 2:2 joins can be considered a stack alliance. They had the biggest players there. Hee hee!) It seems that the only way 2:2 could move away from the mark of a stack alliance is if it joined in one of the small alliance. Since they didn’t; people still think of them as stack.

Some people in the Goliath alliance consider Peregrine as the stack alliance since it is now the top alliance. But several people I know do not consider it so. Why do people consider the 2nd strongest alliance as stack while the 1st isn’t? The answer that was given to me was because Peregrine does not own the top 10 planet. They just have several big, but only few super big, planets. While Goliath has several super big planets but little else.

The result is that a number of big planets were pulled down the ladder. Now only 1 planet in 2:2 is in the top 10 and only 2 in 3:4. Peregrine has two or three planets.

I’m not going to elaborate who was taken down and who is currently marked as a kill target. All that I can say is that the drop of land and networth is staggering. The only time I saw this kind of thing happening was back when I was a member of syndicate.

Whoever is stack and whoever is right, does not matter to most of the players in Galaxies Ablaze. It is generally agreed, it is better and more fun this way, that two top alliance warring with each other, then if the members of the supreme alliance had stuck together. Unlike in Fantasian Kingdom were the top nation had indeed split, but instead of hitting each other; together they war on nations less then 1/10th of either one of them. Now that is bullying.

As for me I’m sticking to my original policy of don’t get involve.

Reuniting with Déjà vu and Mr. Imhotep reminded me of my comrades that left our system.

Ms. Tarzana aka Ms. Jane, deleted her account recently. She is a good system partner to have because she cares for her fellow system planets and do her best to protected them. She also participates in group activities and a real team player.

There are also good wonder donators Accidic Revenge and Killswitch Engage. Killswitch Engage was the best wonder donator of all. He donated most of the resources needed to build the wonder. So he surprised me when he later teleported out of our system after the wonder of his choice was built. When I ask him why he teleported out, he told me that he wish to join with his friend in another system. As for Accidic, he deleted a couple of weeks later after he teleported. Then there is chel. Well, chel is chel. ~~
I miss all of them. Hope they would play again next round so we could all have fun playing this fun game Galaxies Ablaze. See you all! ~~

Exquisite

Our system has finally left the Dunno alliance. It was a good move since the Dunno alliance was dying anyway. Most of its members had left before us while the systems remaining are made up of inactive planets. So we have no choice but to say good bye and leave it.

But before we left, I was the alliance leader of that alliance for a couple of days. That’s right. For the first time, I became an alliance leader. Cool huh? ~~

The original alliance leader, Tris aka Chel, quit the round and deleted his planet and pass the alliance leadership to me. I tried to do my best to reenergize the alliance but unfortunately it way too late for that. So when Speed of Gasoline asks me if we should leave Dunno, I pass the leadership to him and let him decide because I don’t mind either way. Later Speed had also given up on Dunno and we left it to join the Exquisite alliance.

I think I will like it here in Exquisite. Members in this alliance are mostly active players and I know two people in this alliance (Exquisite), Deja vu and Imhotep. We were in the same alliance last round so I’m excited to be with them again. Déjà vu was never big, probably because he went on vacation earlier. While Imhotep was once big but was made a kill target, therefore was reduce down the size.

Yup, moving here in Exquisite is a good move (thanks speed of gasoline) and I’m glad to be home. :)

War and Kill Targets

In every round I have played, there would always be a KT (kill target) named. Each one was mark to die because of aggressive operation, or launching of missiles, or simply a war target. Each time, I participated in killing these mark planets because it’s my duty as a member of my alliance. But this round, I refused to take part in killing MageRealm (3:10).

It started when I logged in and read that MageRealm tried to kidnap my planet’s population several times but only two manage to penetrate. I did not take much notice of this until I read in the alliance forum about 2 or 3 planets from slackers alliance had attack some planets in my alliance with missiles and aggressive operation. It occurred to me that the slackers alliance might be retaliating the attacks against MageRealm so I message them about it and they answered that they are indeed retaliating aggressive operation against MageRealm. I also learned that the reason our alliance was killing the MageRealm is because he was the alliance leader of slackers and has randomly declared war against our alliance. I believe that such action does indeed deserve some swift reaction but nothing drastic as a kill target. That is why I ask our Alliance leader to finally make peace with the slackers.

Ooops. Okay. Okay. Just because MageRealm is not a kill target doesn’t mean we can’t hit him, right? Especially after he just attacked somebody else and opened himself up for a good assault.

Moving on to a more recent event, and more eye catcher for the rest of the players of Galaxies Ablaze, some disgruntled alliance has finally decided that they have enough of supreme alliance monopoly on the top ranks and has declared war against them and started to kill them one by one. It was a bold move that gained them respect from non-supreme planets.

I don’t know what some system leaders were thinking but I got the impression that there is some kind of panic in their action, when they left the supreme alliance and created a new alliance called Goliath. It seems they left there former alliance mate to save their own skin. But the Goliath alliance still represents what some people hate about supreme, and that is stacking of top planets, so I believe that those people that declared war against supereme would also declare war against them.

Right now, Alaska is the only one I know that was made a kill target.

I hope our alliance does not get involved in this war. It’s too confusing on which side is the right side to join. Still, I’m going to complete my rack of missiles (I thought to build biobomb last because it only kills population). I wish I know more on what’s happening right now.

After that unfortunate incident with Wild Dude Raphael, I started building up my defense and waited for an opportunity. First thing is to finish my recovery status. An alliance planet of mine has offered to suicide and disbands her military so I can get her planet’s land. She says she was considering quitting this round because of the alliance “Supreme”. I thank her but refuse the offer. I calculated that I would gain more land and resources if I completed the recovery status instead of bashing (Bashing is attacking a planet smaller then 50% of the attackers land size. Bashing will only gain an attacker a smaller percent of land and resources then an ordinary attack) her planet (Attacking of any form will cancel the recovery status).

Later, after I got out of recovery status, I immediately look for a target to attack. I also monitored the action of the top planets (members of the alliance Supreme ;p); If they had sent their generals out already.

I notice that most of them that can hit me, and not bash, has already sent their generals out, all but one. I waited and waited for Stand Alone Complex (3:4) to send his generals out until I grew tired and decided to ignore him (ignore, ignore). To my surprise I sent my military out, just a minute when he attack Mr. Chel.

Scary huh? Me and and Mr. Chel were almost the same networth, so I could have been the one that got hit if I had attack earlier. I became even more cautious when and where I would send my generals. It makes finding a good target really difficult.

It took me two days of waiting, to finally get a chance of finding all of them (the top planets) sending their generals out again. I immediately look for a target and found none. Bleh >p. I went looking for the next best thing, fat planets; there are plenty of those so I grab one.

Good thing I found one. I was running out of power and barracks space. With the new land infuse to my planet; my planet should be fine until I can find a better target, which I did. I found out that Weyr has just sent his army out so I went to take a look at his SOM and he looks great for my next target. I have seen weyr attack last night but I did not attack him because I was wary of Stand Alone Complex. He is just too good to hit with his AAV out that I could not resist attacking him, no matter what the consequences.

I also have news about my system planets. A planet in our system, Yamimaru, got hit two times (2x) by StarPunch. It is considered bad manners to attack a planet more then once in a short period of time and that is what StarPunch did. Good thing a good system planet took revenge on StarPunch for the bad thing he did.

Even thought nobody retaliate my missile attack; I regret that I sent that missile. I was just upset I got steamrolled by a planet with just as much defense as me. I somehow feel wronged. Anyway, it is still better for supreme planets to stay away from me for a while. I’m volatile at the moment and not even I knows what I’m going to do if another supreme planet steamrolled me.

I have been asking people as to what happened to Ghost Dance but nobody’s talking. The message I sent to Mr. Ghost Dance has remained unanswered as well as the message I sent to Mr. Suicide King. So far, I only know that there is a war going on but since the system Mr. Ghost Dance is in, is not in an alliance; I have no idea whose killing him. The last time I look, he’s rank 50 in planet size and 52 in networth.

As for my planet; after I posted my last post before this, I assaulted the planet hellish and two other planets.

Piggy Still Waiting

I’m still too fat for my land size and yet I can’t stop exploring, otherwise my military would run out of barrack space. :( But still, not everything is as grim as it looks. In fact good news surprises me as I look at the scoreboard and I notice that I rose up the ranks. I rose from 40th rank to 33rd. Yeah! Overall, I think I’m doing great.

On the side note; the only planet that has ever hit me, Ghost Dance, was made a kill target by someone or more likely an alliance. Reports say that he was made a kill target because of acts of arson. Message sent to Ghost Dance were not returned. Guess I have to look somewhere else for information.

After my previous post, I assaulted another planet, and in return was assaulted back by the strongest planet. Boohoo the piggy girl :(. Not only was my planet too fat, I had just started converting my mines to lunar mines, hence neglecting making more military units. So when I attack, the top planet easily broke through my defenses. I should have waited and gain strength first before I had attack, but then again regret always came last.

As always, I was depressed, and even considered deleting my planet (good thing that the delete button is not on the same page as the planet news. ~~). Fortunately, in this time of trouble, Super asteroid came to my rescue! With its huge land and virtually no defense, it gave me hope and strength to continue! Yehey!

Earlier I saw insane killer commit suicide, I could have easily hit him, but the top five would be able to hit me easily too. So here my planet sits in its system. Like a fat toad croaking up the night, looking for the next target, but too fat to do much. Hee hee!

Back Again!

It has been some time since I have updated this BLOG. Sorry about that, I was a bit busy studying a new game called Fantasian Kingdom. Anyway, back to my planet in Galaxies Ablaze. We failed to get the wonder we were aiming for, the Positron Shield, and instead built the Special Forces Guild. While the Positron Shield protects all type of aggressive operation against a planet, the Special Forces Guild increases the operative production by 25% and reduces loss of operatives by 50%. I guess its better then nothing, right?

There has been a bit of trouble as a new planet that teleported in our system showed it’s contempt on the sliding SL by making the SL at the time, Chel, a permanent system leader by voting for him and upsetting the delicate balance that makes the sliding SL work. Fortunately we manage to convince Tarzana to be more open minded and give the sliding SL a chance. We explained that our system is not as greedy for the SL status like the one it teleported from. Fortunately, Tarzana understood and became more cooperative.

Right now my planet is rank as the 34th strongest planet and 28th largest planet. This means I’m a fatty again. Waah! I have to do something about this so I can attack again. Hee hee! ~~

Here We Go Again!

Round 26 have now begun and it looks like it will be a great round for me. I signed up as a random player and I seem to have landed on a great system with a number of active and cooperative planets. So far, we have no quarrels for the status of system leader and have easily set up ourselves for a sliding system leader. This strategy would prove useful in protecting our wonder later in the game.

Right now, we have all agreed on what wonder we should build and has pledge ourselves to be the first to get that wonder. We will just have to wait and see if this system can get that particular wonder or not. My only problem is that I setup my planet base on the wonder we will be getting. It will slow my planet’s growth considerably if we fail to get it. I really want to get this wonder so I intend to stop growing for a time just to donate all my resources and get that wonder.

My planet, the planet Strawberry Cupcake (3:7) is a volcanic planet with a restless personality. I intend to follow the assault strategy and this planet type and personality guarantees that my generals will have a fast return time after assaulting someone; so I can attack again in a short length of time.

I can barely wait to get out of newbie mode and start assaulting and donating. =D Hee hee!

Galaxies Ablaze: Round 26

I signed up again for another round of Galaxies Ablaze, and as always, I’m face with a dilemma on what planet type, personality, and strategy I should use. It is important that a player has already decided this kind of things before the game begins because some of them can’t be change when it finally starts, and changing the others will slow your planets growth.

Keeping this in mind, I carefully shape my planet’s overall makeup, and double checked it to make sure I made no mistake. After much worrying if I got it all right, I came up with a volcanic planet with a restless personality. I followed the turtle strategy last round, so I thought I should have a change and follow the assault strategy for this round.

The game will start running Jun 4, 12:00 pm (Galaxies Ablaze time). I wish the game would start already. I can’t sleep with this excitement building up inside of me. Hee hee!

Wonder Theft

I knew that chaos mode was fast approaching, so I immediately arrange a wonder grab. Although I was oppose to the idea, since it’s too late in the game, certain planets in our system insisted and have started donating some power and population. I decided to help them so I gave all the resources I manage to accumulate in the next couple of days.

I ask our alliance if they could help us in destroying a wonder, and pledges started flowing in. Finally, we got enough missiles to destroy 3800 wonder points. I was so happy about the support and gleefully assigned a date for the fireworks display. I posted in the alliance forum that we will take down a wonder on May 27, 2006 at 12AM. I also posted that the name of the wonder will be posted 5 minutes before the operation.

When I first arrived in this system, it was at the bottom rank of the score, without any alliance or any activity in the forum, and the only news in the system news are assault against the planet in this system.

Since I have taken over, activity in the forum as well as in the system news have been thriving, and I’m proud to report that we are now rank number 38 out of the 45 system in the galaxy. We are also now part of a alliance, although it’s a small one it is still better then being alone, we are now more secure from being bullied as before. Our alliance is consist of 5 system and is ranked 7 out of 8 (this is a good thing since when we joined this alliance there is only two system, including my system).

I would have been the Czar of Galaxies Ablaze if not for this constant trouble plaguing me, obstacles that keep cropping up, and keeps delaying my bid for universal domination.

My system mates have been assaulting, massacring, and nuking each other (although I think they finally work it out with each other). One planet in my system is being threatened to be retaliated for his massacre of a planet. Few people donate for the wonder fund or have little nukes for a wonder grab. Too few planets are active in my system. If that is not all, our Alliance leader went berserk and launches all his missiles against a top 10 planet (only the revenger type missile was block).

This is not good. I won’t make it to the top 3 before chaos mode. Phooey!

A: Building power plants will keep you’re power on the positive side. Have you’re Fast Power Production research to the max (Maxing out this research will give you an additional 50% more power of what you’re producing).

A: I only do that in times of war or if there is need for retaliation. Otherwise you’re free to decide who you wish to attack (just make sure you don’t attack anyone less the 50% of you’re planet size because it is considered as bad manners).

May 22, 5:39 pm When you see a asteroid passing our system, here is what you should do.

1. Go to the attack page by clicking the attack link.
2. On this page, you will see the current size of the asteroid (it is place at the center of the page, between the two tables).
3. just multiply the size of the asteroid to two

ex. 200 size * 2 = 400

4. Then divide it by you’re attacking unit’s attack value.

Ex. 400 / 8 = 50 (8 is the attack value of AAVs)

5. This mean that you should send 51 AAVs to attack that asteroid. Enter the value to the AAVs “number to send” field.
6. Change the “type of attack”, from assault to asteroid.
7. then click “send attack”

That’s it!

I was planning of blowing up you’re mines until the total number of mines I
blew equaled to the number of land you took but I change my mind and

completed building my entire missile arsenal. So stay away.

Still Being Attack!

Some planets are still attacking me even after I finish researching and converting units to lasermen. Phooey! It’s probably because they can have more military units per land and have already research units with great offensive power.

I started to remedy this problem by destroying barracks and converting this free land into stardocks (I finish researching this building early this morning). Now that I can house more defense points per land, people would be bypassing me while looking for targets.

For now I can only attack asteroids and rob bigger planets dry. Here is a report on how much I have manage to rob and how much was rob from me.

Finally Joined an Alliance

Our system finally has finally joined an alliance consisting of more then one system. Yippee! After a couple of days without an alliance, I started to get desperate and even created an alliance of my own, messaging SL planets left and right to join us. Fortunately, another system with the same situation contacted me and asks if we could join together. I immediately said yes and now there is more than one active planet in our alliance. Yay!

I immediately had this nasty thoughts of mines, power plants, and residence going into flames. I immediately check the offending planet and notice that his size is less then twice my planet size. Confuse, I check an earlier scan and found out that he was indeed bigger then double my size. Somebody must have assaulted him after he assaulted me. Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk!

I’m trying a new strategy, one that I do not have the courage to use when I’m playing for scores. So far it’s working but since I started late, I have little defensed then the rest of the players so I got assaulted again.

My computer monitor broke down before the end of chaos mode in round 24. I ask my parents to get me a new one but they said that since I broke it I should pay for it. They said something about making me responsible, whatever. The money I saved from my allowance last school year was not enough to buy me a new monitor. I had to wait for my birthday to cajole enough money from my elder relatives to fill in the money I needed to get a new monitor.

I’m now playing galaxies ablaze in my new monitor. Unfortunately, I signed up late in the game and I landed in an inactive system with no wonder. All the news in our system is assault against us. It’s pretty depressing.

But as they say, there is a silver lining in every cloudy day. I manage to get the sl status in our system. Hopefully, with my help, activity in our system will pick up and we’ll rise to the top ranks. Hurray!

Down For The Count!

Mr. Possum’s planet, the planet Canyon Sized Cameltoe (2:10), and the planet Wicked Lord transilvania (2:6) are both down for the count. I’m a bit surprise that someone made Canyon Sized Cameltoe a kill target. I really though he has made peace with everyone and would win this round. Unfortunately for him somebody made him a kill target and reduce his planet to a size smaller than mine, too bad.

The state of the planet Wicked Lord transilvania was not as unexpected. With over 200 posts in our alliance forum about the alliance’s action against it, I’m more surprising that it is not destroyed yet. Wicked Lord transilvania certainly deserve to be a kill target because of its constant raid against epic alliance (raided my planet too. Humph!), and becoming a big threat.

Now that the two biggest threats in our alliance are down whom are we going after next? I wonder.

I finally made peace with Mr. Possum. I could have continued sabotaging his planet and watch it fall down the scoreboard but it’s no fun anymore and started to become petty. So I made peace with him and let bygones be bygones. I decided to return to my original plan and bring some pain to Transylvania. Besides, Transylvania is the official kill target anyway.

I find it curious for someone outside of the Diamond alliance to message me to stop pestering Canyon Sized Cameltoe (2:10); especially coming from a system that went to war with the named alliance.

Some other time I would have granted this request, but not this time. There are several reasons I can’t obliged.

One reason is my alliance is at war with the Diamond alliance and it is my duty to participate in this war as much as I can. Anything less is treason. Another reason and a more personal one is I felt betrayed. When Mr. Possum first attack my planet I could have suicide on him but instead raided the planet Transylvania because he sent me a message that his attack was for my attack earlier. He said he did the same thing to the planet Adana and House of Fury. He said that we are even and that is that. I message him that I understand and started planning on bringing down the planet Transylvania along with me (Diamond decided to make me a kill target so I want to bring one of my raiders along).

Surprise! Surprise! Canyon Sized Cameltoe assaulted my planet again. That’s bad move on your part Mr. Possum because my attention was diverted from the planet Transylvania to you. That’s when I changed my target from the planet Transylvania to the planet Canyon Sized Cameltoe.

Kill Target.

Since my last attack on TechniColour (1:13), I have been concentrating my attacks against Diamond planets. Unfortunately, they seem to have caught on and made me a kill target.

Since then, my planet news is swarmed with bad news. My glorious planet has been reduced to a mere 2 million networth and less than 3k of lands.

Although I cannot mount any military expedition against my enemies, I still have all those operatives that can do great damage. Right now, those operatives are plaguing Canyon Sized Cameltoe and doing lots of damage. I calculated that he probably lost more from my sabotage than all the assault he has done against me. If I continue this, I’m sure that he will be displaced from first place and fall to second or even third rank. Hee hee! He should have stop assaulting me after the first one. Power to us little planets! Yay!

TechniColor

Mr. Kane, one of the public forum moderators, must be a bit upset right now or at least disappointed. His planet, the planet TechniColor which was the strongest planet in the universe, is now a helpless little planet. Although it is partially his fault because instead of keeping his military at home for defense, he launch an attack that left him open for an easy land grab. Later in the public forum, Mr. Kane posted that the reason he committed suicide was because he would rather give his land to his alliance member then to see it slowly wither away by missiles.

When I first saw his status of military (SOM), I immediately considered attacking him but decided not to since there was an announcement in the alliance forum that we will go to war later with an unknown alliance and at the moment we are not at war with anyone. Since loyalty to my alliance comes first, I refrained from grabbing Mr. Kane’s 11k land.

Phooey! The alliance we went to war with was the Diamond alliance. It was the same alliance where Mr. Kane’s planet is a member. By the time I assaulted his planet, it was down to 7k land.

NoFear Vs. Diamond

The two is at war again and NoFear’s kill target seems to be TechniColor and the little pest is proving to be a worthy opponent. The planet TechniColor seems to have lost over 1k land in between my last two scans (27-Mar-06 6:44 PM to 28-Mar-06 12:09 AM). I notice someone launching missiles against TechniColor this morning (Galaxies Ablaze Time) but I thought it was just some misguided player that wanted to launch missiles on the strongest planet in both galaxies. I was wrong.

I immediately check the war status of Diamond and found that it was at war with NoFear. I also check the alliance news (reading it from the bottom upward) to see who started the conflict for this blog (also to stop future argument on who started the war first. Hee hee!).

Earlier, there was a heated discussion about who declared war on Diamond first. Somebody posted that it was the Fubar alliance who declared war first. But Mr. Evilkillerwhale disagreed and claimed that it was TehWhalez first then NoFear, Epic, and lastly Fubar. He then mentioned about how Mr. Abradix must be reading the alliance news from bottom to top that’s why he got it wrong.

I realized that in the entire time since alliance news was first read, nobody has ever mentioned on what is the right way to read the alliance news. If it is from top to bottom or bottom to top and everyone assumes that everyone else was reading it the same way they do. Isn’t that strange? Here is a sample of the alliance news.

Mr. Veritas argued that the right way to read the forum was to read it from top to bottom. Just like the way you are reading my blog right now, just like the way we read everything written in English. He has a point.

I on the other hand prefer to read the alliance news from bottom to top. Since the latest news appear at the bottom of the news and the oldest and already read news are on the top; I prefer to read the news I have not yet read and read upward until I see a news I have already seen. This way I wouldn’t be reading something I have already read again and again and again. Another thing is, the news only last for 72 hours then it gets deleted, so you cannot just bookmark where you have last read the news, especially not if you miss reading it for more than a day. So I prefer to read it my way

Whether Mr. Veritas is right or wrong does not matter right now. What is important is I read it MY WAY! Oh Franky! Hee hee!

I mentioned about Unknown Restless raiding another planet because of its missile attack against me. Well a planet in that system also retaliated and assaulted the planet Unknown Restless.

War Against Diamond 2.

The war against Diamond alliance ended some time ago. When the final accounting is finish, Diamond is still the no. 1 alliance. This does not mean they did not suffer. They lost some top planets, while others were severely injured that they might not recover and survive, or archive in the top ten scores.

Right now, I’m only worried about the no. 1 and 2 strongest planet in the universe, both of which belongs to the diamond alliance. Hopefully I will grow strong and be able to defend myself from them.

There seems to be a new trend that is encouraged by the NoFear Alliance and that is retaliation by missiles. After I successfully attack The Honey Badger, he retaliated by sending a revenger missile against me.

I’m Back!

I finally successfully assaulted a planet within my range. I’m so happy that I made a hit, and got away with it! Alright! This mean that my planet is finally fit again and I could increase my planet’s size through military expansion.

Although I manage to get away this time, it does not always mean I will always be lucky. The planet Coco Pops (2:9), with a planet size of about 8.5k, was hit by the planet TechniColour (1:13). I’m just a little bit bigger than Coco Pops, so if I’m not careful I might be me next. But I’m feeling good right now to worry about that. Hee hee!

War Against Diamond

War has finally come and three alliances went to war against the diamond alliance. Several top players of Diamond were heavily damage. Some were even knock out of the top 10 ranking and fell way down the score list. Another consequence of the war was 2:10’s wonder were destroyed, not once, but twice! Now those money making planet are now open for the public to rob. Hee hee!

The Diamond alliance could not fight against three alliances so they were force to disband to minimize damage against them. Without an alliance, nobody can use the war status bonus. Raids and destructive operations are limited making it difficult to kill target planets.

Not everything went the way I like. Mr. Richi’s planet the “supernatural planet” was heavily damage and fell down to the 40th place. Don’t worry Mr. Richi you can still be in the top ten. I know you’re a good player so it would be alright. Look at me.

That’s about it for now. I’ll post further news about this war later.

That’s right! Mr. Simurg, the ruler of the planet Adana, finally went on vacation. His been planning about this for sometime now and finally went through with it.

Before he left, Mr. Simurg sent me a couple of large aid fleet to my planet. The huge cash flow enabled me to maximize my land exploration and built military units. The large number of operatives is now proving their worth preventing aggressive operation against me and the amount of scientist he sent me almost manage to disband some of my starfighters because there was no room for them in the barracks and civilian houses. Hee hee! Here are some of those operations against my planet that James Bond and Jimmy Neutron manage to foil.

With Mr. Simurg’s help, I manage to climb the ranks from no. 42 to number 8. Alright! Unfortunately, he did not choose to put his planet on vacation mode but instead put his planet in a position that would let others to easily take his land. The result was predictable.
