Walk in the Shadows (2:10)

Not once but twice. That is the number of times I could have easily taken his land. But it seems every time he sends his soldiers out, my generals have left earlier.

Dec 22, 8:59 pm
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted ultimate nutsaXXX (1:9) and conquered 434 lands.

Just like now. Walk in the Shadows committed suicide but my soldiers left a couple of hours ago. I miss an 800 land gain earlier and 600 land gain just now. Phooey! Here is his SOM

Dec 23, 3:44 pm

Our operatives returned with the following information about Walk in the Shadows (2:10)

Growing Again.

Planets in our alliance have started to pick up the pieces and build what once was destroyed. As for myself, I have slimmed up nicely during the war so when peace was declared I was able to assault someone, which sent his army out, safely.

Dec 21, 4:59 pm
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted Conan the Librarian (2:4) and conquered 508 lands.

Hope this continues.

Peace Again!

There is peace once again in the universe of Galaxies Ablaze as our alliance made peace with everyone. Strangely except for a few successful sabotage of my power plant (sabotage after my hit on Orange I Outlaw) there was little aggression against me, which I am glad by the way. The alliance last target was The Dirty Snowball in 2:10. He was not really a kill target because the alliance sole purpose was to knock him out of the top ten planets, which he was.

Our alliance took a lot of damage during the war. Not only did we lost our biggest planets, several of our smaller planets were preyed upon by taking advantage of the war status for reason of either war tactics or simply abusing the war status for easy land. We really need to recover from that. On the other hand our alliance, on its own, successfully brought down haft a dozen planets, all of which are the biggest planets in the universe at that time. No other alliance can boast such achievement. Also no planet teleported away and no system left the alliance during the war with the odds stack up against us 8 vs 1. I am so proud to be a member of Syndicate =D. A planet in another alliance message me that he is impress and that I must be a hero sticking up to our alliance like that when I would have been likely the next kill target if it had continued. I message him back that I am not a hero but I have served in a company of heroes. Heee! Okay that was not original, but I am indeed allied with some of the most loyal and bravest planet in Galaxies Ablaze. You can’t be in better company than that.

Now that there is peace, and I don’t consider myself fat anymore, I started looking for targets again only to find two hitters I can’t hit and a whole bunch of explorers. But it’s fine for now since I have already research Guerrilla technology, all I have to do is wait. Heee! I wonder how long this peace will last.

Teaching A Lesson.

Just now I was force to teach another player a lesson. I just know that teaching it would cost me BIG time but it is something that must be done. Two planets in my system are being constantly abuse, raided, and hounded by people abusing the war and showing contempt. When planet Leckin assaulted Iceledge, he must have assumed he can’t be hit because of the war.

Dec 20, 1:02 am
Troops from Leckin (1:6) assaulted IceLedge (2:2) and conquered 152 land.

He was wrong.

Dec 20, 9:26 am
Troops from IceLedge (2:2) assaulted Leckin (1:6) and conquered 216 land.

Fair right? Right. But one planet in 1:6 did not approve.

Dec 20, 10:38 am
Troops from Orange I Outlaw (1:6) massacred IceLedge (2:2) and destroyed 239 land.

To those who do not know the attack type “Massacre”, it is a form of attack with the sole purpose to kill a planet. To give maximum damage and destroy a lot of resources and only a trickle gets captured by the attacker. You only do this to a planet mark to be killed and not on a small planet that just retaliated. It is quite obvious that Orange I Outlaw was just arrogantly flexing his muscle for show and holds our system in contempt as he massacred one of our planet and did not even raised his defense shields. Such contempt! Tsk. I have been tip toeing since the war started but the things done to my system planets are intolerable. Now I know that I am quite near being named a kill target. I thought that I might as well do something for my friends while I am capable.

Dec 20, 11:59 am
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted Orange I Outlaw (1:6) and conquered 492 land.

Dec 20, 12:40 pm
Operatives from Orange I Outlaw (1:6) approached our planet, but failed to penetrate our defenses due to defense operatives.

Phooey. I hope that would teach him not to be too arrogant.

An Annoying Person.

In all games, there are always players that took advantage of another player’s misfortune. In this war, a lot of this type showed up and even sends messages to their target boasting and taunting. One of my system members is currently being abuse by one of this pitiful person that is so proud of himself that he sends her several of these impolite messages and raids her planet. The latter is understandable, if rude especially done several times simply to annoy, but sending offensive non-game related messages goes beyond rude and should be cause to be fined. In Galaxies Ablaze, messages are monitored for rude words and automatically sent to the Galactic Court to be verified if it should be punish either by fines or have the planet disabled or completely ban that person from playing. But there are too many ways to express disgusting messages that a lot can pass through undetected. Fortunately, game designers have anticipated this and give players a choice to manually report disgusting messages for evaluation. So to that person that keeps harassing Moulin Rouge, don’t go doing a jig just yet, you have been reported and you should expect a message from the galactic court about your behavior. Be glad your below my reach even with war status, and that there is actually a war going on so I can’t deal with you just yet. But this war will end and no matter what size I am, I’ll be a thorn on your foot until it gets infected and needs to be cut off. Be warned!

As The War Drags On.

I have watch some war movies and there is always a point were the war would slow down or stop altogether while the warring members takes a much needed break to rest and gather resources. It’s happening in Galaxies Ablaze too. Planet’s land and networth taken down within two hours before, has barely gone down after several hours now.

This war has definitely stunted my planet’s growth. I was force to wait, for the target planet to send some soldiers out, and raid him instead of attacking some asteroid or another planet that opened up. Not to mention that I could be named a kill target after each raid I make. If this continue I would be lucky to be in the top 100 or even just to be alive. I can’t stop raiding either as long as we are at war with them because it is my duty.

One way to fight a war is for a system to leave your alliance, if one of the planets in that system was made a kill target. This is to deny opposing members on taking advantage of the war bonus (warring alliance that has an official “war status” can give maximum damage to each other because of this bonus but nothing can stop a system from leaving an alliance. Once it’s out, the war bonus has no effect on them anymore). But our big guys decided not to leave the alliance to show they have hair on their chest and to out testosterone each other. Silly boys. Well it is fun to watch the boys flare up and tumble each other, like every boys everywhere and whatever they’re age. Heee! The best you can do is to cheer your side and support them. Go! Go! Syndicate!

The War Goes On And The Importance Of A Scan Manager.

The war enters its second day. One of our once biggest guys is now dead and the other two are reduce to a shadow of their former size. The level of activity in our alliance forum still shows sign of life but nothing like the great buzz that it has shown earlier in the game. I guess the war weariness is getting to us all. Today I raided Mr. Merecis as part of my duty as member of Syndicate; raiding Mr. Merecis is not as fun as attacking other planets because I kind of like Mr. Merecis. Also, he is one of the first to comment on this blog, I don’t like being on opposite ends with my readers. But a duty is a duty. Loyalty is foremost when you are in a alliance, even if you don’t have to like it.

I just found out that Eternity Angels Scan Manager is not as up-to-date as I thought. Some of my raids did not get as good as I thought because the powerless feature was for last round of the game. From -20 it was change to -10. To correct this you must open Eternity Angel’s Scan Manager. Look for this code:

ga_calc_nopower = -20

and change it to:

ga_calc_nopower = -10

Eternity Angel’s Scan Manager is a great tool that every player, new or veteran of this game, should have. It has a lot of features that you can use like:

Scan manager – look for targets, banks, or simply see who attack, who was attack, who just recently built, who has gone inactive, see the return time of your generals for every planet, or simply see your planet’s size and strength compared to the others.

Battle Calculator – See how many units you should send to attack and of what type.

Other tools – Score locator, Defense % Calc, Galaxy -> Scan, Training Calc, Barracks Calc.
