Mr. Veritas Quit While I’m Too Fat!

It seems Mr. Veritas won’t score big again this round. On previous rounds the reason he never scored big was because he’s always made a kill target. But this round it seems he quit. Too bad, he had a big planet and I was hoping he would score big this round.

As for me, I decided to explore just enough land to house my soldiers and not to attack for a while even thought it would hurt my courage score. The reason for this is because I have too little soldiers for such a big land (Probably because of those recent giant land grab I made). The attack by Crazy made me realize this after he attack me even when I only sent 20% of my military while I have a 15% defense bonus because I’m Tundra. But keep on your toes yet, it doesn’t mean I won’t assault if I see a good opportunity. Hee hee!

First Experience

So many things I experience for the first time, ever since I played this game, has happened after my last post

After I grab some land Mr. Plutonium assaulted me before the tick is over therefore my shield wasn’t up yet at the time. This is the first time I got successfully assaulted.

Nov 30, 4:56 pm
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted SpaceMartian (2:3) and conquered 106 land.
Nov 30, 5:59 pm
Troops from Plutonium (2:8) assaulted GeoStigma (2:2) and conquered 213 lands.

Now this is my first assault after I got assaulted and it’s the biggest land I have ever taken before! It is also my first time in this round to assault a suicider.

Dec 1, 12:40 pm
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted Hallowed Be My Name (1:3) and conquered 133 land.

After that attack, I decided to make myself some snack. As I pass the computer in the process of making a snack I notice that I had new planet news. Expecting to see one when my mailbox open, I found two.

Dec 1, 12:55 pm Someone successfully spied on our Military Activity, but we do not know who did it.
Dec 1, 12:58 pm Someone successfully spied on our Shields, but we do not know who did it.

I had this dread that whoever it is will attack me before my shield is up (Although I raise my shield at 12:14 pm, it will not be effective until the end of the tick, meaning exactly 1pm) just like what Mr. Plutonium did.

I immediately vote for myself and took the System Leader status. Just after the page refresh from me taking the System Leader status new planet news appeared. With dread I look at my land size expecting it to be smaller then before. To my relief and excitement, it seems I made it in time and my land size did not change. When I click the news link I saw what I expected the attacker was successfully repulsed by my brave and diligent military units. With the System Leader status additional 10% defense, my soldiers routed the attackers and sent them limping back to their home.

Dec 1, 12:59 pm We were assaulted by Crazy Jedi (1:8) but our defense held firm. Military casualties included 126 Soldiers, 393 AAVs, and 10 injured civilians.

Now that was the first time I repulsed an attacker and the first time I cheated being conquered by sneakily taking the System Leader status after he spied on me and before he attack.

Not So Lucky Day.

Due to that big chunk of land that I received the last time, my hit range rose up to a point where planets are too big to assault without them cooperating, meaning sending out their military. I waited for over 6 hours and all those that sent their military away are still too big for me and the rest seems content to explore their way to the end of this round. I was desperate enough to find some land to house my military that I started to explore. Fortunately A little cratered planet entered within my hit range, little enough to assault. I tried getting that planet’s SOM (Status Of Military), because it just attacked recently, but failed. Instead I took its SOP (Status Of Planet) and steam rolled him. ~~ What? I said I was desperate.

Nov 30, 5:00 am
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted Nirvanaland (1:6) and conquered 95 land.

Lucky Day In GA!

Today, not only did I manage to successfully assault my biggest hit yet, and not get assaulted for it, but also manage to pick up some asteroid on the way. Hee hee!

Nov 29, 2:59 am
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted MYXOCPAHCK (2:13) and conquered 104 land.
Nov 29, 12:12 pm
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) attacked the Rogue Asteroid and conquered 42 land.
Nov 29, 12:13 pm
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) attacked the Rogue Asteroid and conquered 38 land.
Nov 29, 1:00 pm
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) attacked the Rogue Asteroid and conquered 31 land.

To Those Who Wait.

I have waited 5 hrs to get a decent hit. All those time, I only found either planets that are too big to attack without being attack myself, or planets that only explore therefore have all their military home. Either way I would need to send over 3.5-5k AAV to be successful. But just as I was studying my hit list again I notice that a new SOM was posted in the alliance forum. It was one of those planets I dismiss to assault because he has a 15% defense and would be difficult to assault. But to my pleasant surprised, I would only need to send 1115 AAV to gain 86 lands! So here’s the result:

Nov 28, 12:51 pm Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted squall (2:8) and conquered 86 land.

Most Courageous Planet.

With all of this assaulting for land and resource, I did not realize that I’m climbing the ladder of the most courageous planets in the universe. Although I’m the +120 in the strongest planets score, I’m 27 in the most courageous in the universe and fifth in our alliance. Hee hee. Talk about pleasant surprise. I guess assault like this tends to raise your courage point a bit.

Nov 27, 4:52 am
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted Rytearik (2:6) and conquered 83 land.
Nov 26, 1:49 pm
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted Silver Storm (2:3) and conquered 82 land.

More Lands From Smaller Targets.

Two small fry can be bigger then 1 big fry. In my last post, I mentioned of an assault that gave me a large parcel of land. This time I captured even more lands.

Nov 26, 2:04 am
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted Tsuyashi (1:12) and conquered 54 land.
Nov 26, 2:12 am
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted Indo (1:4) and conquered 56 land.

As you can see I assaulted two planets within my 50% land size legal zone and the return is better then attacking some heavily guarded +700 lands. Good strategy right? Ya ya!

My Biggest Hit Yet!

I just assaulted a planet 80% my size and got away with it scratch free!

Nov 25, 10:59 am
Troops from GeoStigma (2:2) assaulted Irish Brigade (1:3) and conquered 77 land.

I was lucky because Irish Brigade had just assaulted someone before, leaving the planet’s defenses easy for an attack. Hope to catch more of this in the future.
